Light as Air

They say everything comes full circle, and Bec and Bridge's SS 14 runway presentation was no exception. A throw back to the 90s ( think Kate Moss in her Calvin Klein days) the designers sent the models down the runway in bias cut silk dresses, skin tight camis and just the right amount of sheer sexiness.

Definitely putting down my name for those sequinned leggings in look 5.

                           II

Dion Lee's diffusion label II hits the right mark for A/W.

Colour giants Pantone have tipped Burgundy and Cobalt to be the hottest hues for this season, evidently Mr Dion is way ahead of the curve. The combination of slouchy leather separates and tailored silk pieces... the man just knows what I want.

The Edit

The Edit

Until recently, I never viewed my spending habits as a cause  for any real concern. But then again, it's all fun and games until somebody comes home with a $600 burgundy rabbit fur coat.

It is at that point when you find yourself dining on noodle-based products with questionable nutritional value all in the name of conserving your last $3.80; that you realise it could be said that you may have a slight problem with irrational spending.

Thus as a result, I have an overflowing collection of incredible, well crafted, expensive clothing in every colour under the sun.The problem is nothing matches. I am drawn to stand-out pieces, and wardrobe staples seem to fall a little by the wayside. 11 pairs of printed pants and no grey/black/white t-shirts. So I am determined to put my money to better use and invest in some more versatile basics.

My Edit

Jeans- Jbrand: Dressed up or down, white denim is timeless and classic. Paired with a grey t-shirt, a slick of red lipstick and tousled hair in the summer months; or toughened up with a biker jacket and boots for winter, these babies have serious milage.

Jumper- Alexander Wang: Grey marle. Boxy. What doesn't go with that.

Boots- Alexander Wang: Surprisingly I have been eying these boots off for the past few seasons. They are the most perfect souped up black boots that ever were.

Bag- Proenza Schouler: Big enough to hold half my life, sleek enough to stop me looking like a British backpacker.
That hardware is just too damn sexy to resist.

Sunglasses- Ray Ban: Turquoise, gold rimmed, reflective aviators. Hey, Rome wasn't built in a day.
Im taking this reinvention one step at a time.

  Electric Feel
 Michael Lo Sordo A/W 13

Michael Lo Sordo presents his Winter 2013 collection, with the first pieces dropping in store this week. Think sharp angles, luxurious draping and a sexy but casual wearability.
The clean lines and colour palette allows this collection to be easily paired back or dressed up, with the MLS girl definitely more mature this season.
I havent seen a collection in a long while that I could in vision myself in on a day to day basis, and with every print in the collection a one off- its almost irresistible.
