Until recently, I never viewed my spending habits as a cause for any real concern. But then again, it's all fun and games until somebody comes home with a $600 burgundy rabbit fur coat.
It is at that point when you find yourself dining on noodle-based products with questionable nutritional value all in the name of conserving your last $3.80; that you realise it could be said that you may have a slight problem with irrational spending.
Thus as a result, I have an overflowing collection of incredible, well crafted, expensive clothing in every colour under the sun.The problem is nothing matches. I am drawn to stand-out pieces, and wardrobe staples seem to fall a little by the wayside. 11 pairs of printed pants and no grey/black/white t-shirts. So I am determined to put my money to better use and invest in some more versatile basics.
My Edit
Jeans- Jbrand: Dressed up or down, white denim is timeless and classic. Paired with a grey t-shirt, a slick of red lipstick and tousled hair in the summer months; or toughened up with a biker jacket and boots for winter, these babies have serious milage.
Jumper- Alexander Wang: Grey marle. Boxy. What doesn't go with that.
Boots- Alexander Wang: Surprisingly I have been eying these boots off for the past few seasons. They are the most perfect souped up black boots that ever were.
Bag- Proenza Schouler: Big enough to hold half my life, sleek enough to stop me looking like a British backpacker.
That hardware is just too damn sexy to resist.
Sunglasses- Ray Ban: Turquoise, gold rimmed, reflective aviators. Hey, Rome wasn't built in a day.
Im taking this reinvention one step at a time.
